Mixed Waste Recycling

Mixed waste is notoriously difficult to accommodate into recycling operations due to the increased chance of contamination between materials. At Levenseat Waste Management Site we have a mixed waste recycling area, which consists of a concrete pad where mixed waste can be sorted into raw materials by use of a mechanical grab. These raw materials can then be further sorted and forwarded to the correct recycling process i.e. screening, washing, composting, baling etc and then eventually sold as a quality recycled commercial product.
