This Open Day marks the launch of the first stage of Levenseat’s campaign to recruit for up to 50 permanent posts at their site in West Lothian.

The event will showcase the various roles currently available as well as future opportunities. In total around 50 posts will be created at Levenseat, with jobs ranging from Administrative posts, Plant Operators, Engineers, Supervisors and Maintenance Staff.

Angus Hamilton, Managing Director, explains: “Our new Waste Treatment Facility is an important part of Levenseat’s ongoing plan to provide the most innovative and economical solutions to managing waste.  We are looking for dedicated and passionate people to join the Levenseat Team.  The first phase should be operating by December 2016 with full production by July 2017.”

The new facility consists of an advanced Materials Recycling Facility ( MRF) and a Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP).  The MRF will use state of the art automated technology to recover high levels of recyclates such as wood, cardboard, metals, plastics and paper.  It is also designed to produce a fuel from the left-over residual waste which will be fed into the CHP. The CHP will convert the waste into a partially renewable energy and contribute to Scotland’s renewable energy targets.
