We currently have an opportunity for a  Minerals Manager to join our team.

You will oversee and co-ordinate the minerals processing and associated operations at Levenseat including the current fines plant, wash plant, Zambezi, Plate Press, crushing & screening, ash processing and block manufacture & install.  You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of these activities.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead a team of supervisors and their teams to optimise plant performance and ensure that operational & production targets are consistently achieved.  

You will maintain appropriate manning levels for plant operations and drive safety, production, and continuous improvement programs, setting clear requirements and targets for the team. 

You will coach and develop your team towards achieving the goals and objectives for the minerals processing plant as well as the mission, vision, and values of Levenseat. Your experience in leadership will assist Levenseat to grow and nurture a good culture. 

With prior management experience, you will participate in proposing & setting annual budgets and targets for the department, with responsibility for managing performance against the budget.

With an excellent track record for compliance you will maintain documentation of activities and operations as required and in line with the company’s compliance and ISO reporting systems. You will be responsible for material sampling and analysis programmes, collating the data for business use and identifying improvement opportunities. 

Through good communication, you will liaise and collaborate with other managers to meet the company’s objectives and set a good example of collaboration & teamwork for your team. 

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong work ethic, safety leadership, experience in minerals processing and be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar leadership or supervisory position.
