At Levenseat Waste Resource Management site we have two mixed waste recycling processes designed to separate and recover suitable materials from mixed waste streams and minimise the weight of waste going to Landfill.
We work with our customers to find the best solution for waste whilst also ensuring they remain compliant with all the latest legislation.
The waste directed to the Mixed Waste Recycling include Local Authority domestic bulky uplift operations, mixed skips from commercial, industrial or domestic sources and construction/ demolition material.
Materials Recovery Facility
Our Materials Recycling Facility will separate materials such as cardboard, wood, steel, aluminium newspaper and plastic and ensures we recover a high quantity of recyclates that can be reprocessed.
Mixed Waste Recovery
Designed to process bulky waste, commercial & industrial and construction & demolition waste. Despite best efforts at source segregation of materials there is always, inevitably an element of recyclates in a mixed waste stream. Our sorting process enables recovery of recyclable materials providing the customer with the best environmental and economic solution.
We are able to recover a high number of recyclates including plastics, wood, paper, cardboard, metals and aggregates for further processing.
The remaining residual waste from both the MRF and the MRW processes are then prepared into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for utilisation by one of our Energy from Waste partners. This diverts waste from Landfill whilst providing energy for both commercial and domestic customers.
